1968 - 1969 Ford GT40 Mk Specifications and Pictures

The Ford GT40 is a legend that doesn't need any introduction. It is the car that beat Ferrari during the 1966 24 hours of Le Mans, finishing at the first three places. It is undoubtedly one of the most famous race cars, and for many enthusiasts, if it remained only one, that would be her.

After launching the Cobra 427 continuation, Shelby has supervised the production of the Ford GT40 Continuation that are built by the renowned firm Superformance. Like the Cobra continuation the GT40 Continuation are not simple replicas, but continuation models that are built in conformity with the original car. Moreover, 85% of the parts are interchangeable with the original. The continuations are also the only ones to carry a VIN GT40/Pxxxx following the original numbers. Last but not least, they are listed in the Shelby registry.

Of course, the dimensions of the GT40 continuation are strictly identical to the original. They are built on the same monocoque chassis, have the same suspensions, the same interior, an adjustable pedal box, Smith gauges, an exhaust header like the original, Hallibrand wheels, ... The only modern touch consist in an efficient air conditioning system hidden in the car, and ultra lightweight Wilwood brakes.

The car we offer is like new car, and has only been driven a few hundred setup miles. The car is a MK1 with a Roush 427 IR engine, with the 8 stack injection system, that is rated at 560 HP. The gearbox is a ZF/RBT 5 speed. With this engine, this GT40 continuation is even faster than the original GT40 than won Le Mans in 1966, with a max speed over 207 mph, and a 0 to 60 in just 3.6 seconds.

There is no other model closest to the original than this GT40 continuation. This superb GT40 is immediately available in France with its French registration.
We also have other new GT40 continuation available through our Shelby partner. Please get in touch with us for colors, and engines available.

How to Negotiate More Money From Car Accident Claims

If you are after more cash from your car accident claims, then you need to have an understanding of how to negotiate with the insurance companies.

The first step in learning how to negotiate is to learn about the person you will be negotiating with; the auto insurance adjuster.

Who is the Auto Insurance Adjuster?
The insurance adjuster is the primary individual with who you discuss and negotiate your car accident claims. The insurance companies use the insurance adjuster to be in charge of taking care of your car accident claim. The insurance claims adjuster is the specialist who will examine how much your insurance claim is in reality worth.

The insurance adjuster will:

1. Pull together and look at the facts of your car crash
2. Verify your automobile insurance policy
3. Pay attention to who was accountable for the accident
4. Negotiate with you about your final settlement
5. Write you a paycheck

But the essential goal of the insurance adjuster is to resolve your accident claim very fast and cheaply. That is why the insurance company employs them and that's how the insurance companies evaluate their performance. An insurance adjuster who takes too long to complete car accident claims or is not capable to have a low insurance settlement, will not make their claims supervisor happy.

You should understand that negotiations with the insurance adjuster will be intense. If you're not completely ready, you can end up reducing thousands of dollars in your car accident settlement.

When you are negotiating your car accident settlement, the two main things you need to put attention on are ...

1. Do Not Rush to Complete
The insurance adjuster will attempt to put pressure on you to wrap up your auto accident claim fairly quickly. That's because the more time your car accident case is open, the more money the insurance companies can possibly lose.

You should practically never close your insurance settlements rapidly. You might be enticed to settle your car accident claims rapidly to get your money a lot faster and escape the frustration of dealing with the insurance companies. However, you should fight this impulse because otherwise you will end up losing out on a lot of money in the years to come.

Obtaining a super quick auto accident claim settlement does not benefit you if your vehicle repair quotes aren't accurate. A fast settlement will not help if your car accident injuries are not properly identified and treated.

These things will end up costing you far more money in the long run. Claims that are paid out swiftly only help the insurance companies, not you.

So take your time studying your claim, talking with health professionals, getting quotes from a number of auto repair shops, and truly recovering from your auto accident injuries before closing your insurance claim.

The next thing you really need to know is that you should...

2. Do not ever Settle for the First Offer

A well known tactic by the insurance adjusters is to give you their cheapest settlement offer first. The adjuster does this to see how eager you are to complete the auto accident claim.

Keep in mind, the adjuster's most important job is to help save money for the insurance company, not you.

If you accept the 1st offer, you've have missed much more money from your auto accident settlement. This is because the adjuster normally has a whole lot more money to negotiate with. The insurance adjuster is given a range of settlements that they can offer you. The range of your insurance settlement will vary depending on adjuster's amount of experience.

For example, a fairly inexperienced adjuster can be allowed a range between $5.000 to $10.000. A different adjuster with more working experience can have a much higher range, perhaps between $10 000 - $25.000 to close a claim. You may not know the range of your insurance settlement the adjuster can present you but you should practically never settle for the 1st offer.

Gilbert Gottfried's eviler twin

"So, do you girls like jokes?" asked that day's grandpa du jour, wobbling ever-so-slightly from the heady mixture of his Coumadin and Bud Light.

I eyed him warily. In such situations I can't exactly brusquely say no and walk away, so with a heavy inward sigh and a forced smile I chipperly replied, "Sure!"

That was my biggest mistake of the day.

Now gentlemen (and I use that term loosely), you and I both know that opening with a joke is always a risky proposition, no matter what your outdated Toastmasters handbooks might say. Comedy is a tricky business, and canned jokes even more so - they usually aren't funny, and the ones that are most likely to be funny walk a very fine line of being radically offensive, especially if you don't know your audience.

"President Clinton looks up from his desk in the Oval Office to see one of his aides nervously approach him. 'What is it?' exclaims the President.

'It's the Abortion Bill, Mr. President - what do you want to do about it?'

'Just go ahead and pay it.'"

JESUS CHRIST GRANDPA.

Despite how it might appear here, 99.999% of the time I am overly, immensely nice to a$$holes while I'm at work. Kill 'em with kindness, as they say. But come on now.

My chipper smile immediately disappeared and was replaced with my bitchface. "Really? You're opening with an abortion joke? You think that's an appropriate thing to say to a woman you don't even know?"

I spun on my heel and stalked away.

It's a risky proposition to tell political jokes to people you don't know - and this yahoo is upping the ante by tossing around abortion jokes? To someone who could have been his granddaughter? I should have suggested we call his granddaughter so he could tell it to her.

New rule: No jokes from grandpas will be accepted. The next time you ask me if I like jokes I'll just say no and start rattling off torque measurements of every car in the display.
